Description

Khadi is a hand-woven fabric woven from hand spun natural fibre like cotton, wool or silk. For a fabric to be called pure Khadi, it needs to fulfill all three conditions, the yarn needs to be hand-spun manually either on a single spindle charkha or a multi-spindle solar powered one. The hand- spun yarn needs to be hand-woven on a non-electrical manual loom and the yarn needs to be made from plant or animal fibre like cotton, wool or silk. Khadi blends with other fibers to make raw Silk Khadi, Khadi Tussar Silk, Matka Khadi, Poly Khadi, and many more. Khadi has the unique property of keeping the wearer warm in winter and cool in summer.

Tussar silk is made by the larvae of silk moths, living in the wild forest. Tussar Silk has rich abrasive texture and fine fabric. Due to porous and breathable quality of Tussar Silk, one can wear in summer.
