Soft silk sarees are manufactured with fine silk fiber with less Zari to maintain the soft texture and is less expensive. Soft silk is a natural protein fiber made by silk moth.

Ghicha is the silken yarn obtained from cocoons which do not get included in the routine process of reeling of Tussar silk directly from the cocoon. This could be due to the cocoon being pierced, cut or damaged in some sort of way which prevents natural reeling in.
