Tussar silk is made by the larvae of silk moths, living in the wild forest. They do not breed on mulberry, which is the most common food source for most silk worms. Though cheaper than mulberry silk, a genuine Tussar silk saree will little bit costlier. Tussar Silk has rich abrasive texture and fine fabric. Due to porous and breathable quality of Tussar Silk, one can wear in summer.

The Hand Block Printing Pattern differ from State to State. In some states, the weavers are doing hand block printing with the help of wooden blocks. To give the fabric elegant look, some weavers are using special handcrafted wooden and metal blocks to create beautiful designs. Sometimes they use linoleum blocks to make exciting designs. India is one of the largest producers of block print fabric in the world. Hand Block printing is time taking process so making one saree consumes lots of time and energy. We wanted to showcase the hard work of weavers as they have used a number of techniques to make the fabric elegant.
