Handspun is a hand-woven fabric woven from hand spun natural fibre like cotton, wool or silk. For a fabric to be called pure Handspun, it needs to fulfill all three conditions, the yarn needs to be hand-spun manually either on a single spindle charkha or a multi-spindle solar powered one. The hand- spun yarn needs to be hand-woven on a non-electrical manual loom and the yarn needs to be made from plant or animal fibre like cotton, wool or silk. The handloom weaving process requires several stages in order to produce the final product.

Ajrakh is an unique type of hand block printing found mostly in Kutch, Gujarat and Barmer, Rajasthan in India. Therse are special designs and patterns made using block printing by stamps. The cost of wooden block used for Ajrakh printing is high and imposing a great financial burden on artisans. Ajrakh is the identity of Sindh Culture and Tradition.
