This saree is made from pure Bishnupuri silk, a handloom mulberry silk from Bishnupur in West Bengal. It is woven in 3-ply yarn, which gives it a soft hand and a little more body than lighter silks, while staying easy to drape. It carries a Silk Mark tag, confirming it is genuine silk.
The tie & dye work is done by hand. Sections of the fabric are tied or folded before dyeing, which leaves a pattern of white and sky-blue blocks against deep royal blue. Because it is done by hand, every saree has slight variations, so no two are exactly alike.
The bright blue-and-white palette suits festive days, Navratri, office celebrations and day parties. Pair it with silver or oxidised jewellery for a fresh look.
Made to order: please allow 7 to 10 days for this saree to be prepared before dispatch.
